Fellow foodies, unite. Ocotillo is officially open for business in Portland’s West End neighborhood, and after visiting last weekend, we’re already hooked!!

First of all, let’s talk atmosphere because, as we all know, that can make or break a first impression. The moment we stepped in the door of this warm, welcoming, bright neighborhood restaurant, we were  immediately inspired and in awe of the happy colors and chic design. The sunny interiors will make this a happy destination on even the coldest, snowiest winter days in Maine. We love it!!

A+ for interiors!!

Now, let’s move on to the service. Being a new restaurant, both the team members and customers are new. But it didn’t feel that way at all. From the friendly smiles and welcoming ways to the attentive, professional, easygoing team, we felt completely welcome and cared for the entire time.

A+ for service!!

And last, but certainly not least, let’s talk about the FOOD AND BEVS!!!! Clean. Fresh. Flavorful. Unique. Ocotillo’s menu of creative cocktails and elevated comfort food had us begging for more after the first bite. We especially loved the maple soda and churros with dulce de leche sauce. Out of this world!! And the best churros we’ve ever had. Is it 8am yet??

A+ for food and bevvies!!

On our list to try next time: The Shortstack which features buttermilk masa pancakes, caramelized pineapple, and maple sea salted butter. WOW!

Ocotillo is a sister restaurant to Terlingua (what a fam!!), and is now open Thursday through Sunday from 8am-3pm.
