Pejepscot History Center

Pejepscot History Center, the fourth oldest local history organization in the State of Maine, tells the community stories of Brunswick, Topsham, and Harpswell.
These two house museums, just a six-minute walk apart, bring the 19th century to life. The Skolfield-Whittier House, built in 1862, was home to three generations of remarkable Brunswick residents—including ship captains, suffragists, and scientists! It is exceptional among house museums for having been donated by a member of the family with all its contents. The original furniture, art, and household items in every room give tour-goers the sensation of visiting a Victorian home whose occupants have only just stepped away!
